Happy Thursday everyone! I hope everyone had a good/safe Halloween. This year, like the last couple years, we went over to Brandi’s to go trick-or-treating with them and J-Man. We have a tradition where we buy him his Halloween costume every year. This year he had a little bit of a hard time deciding what he wanted to be. Originally he wanted to be the Hulk but then he changed his mind so we had to take the costume back and get him a Power Ranger costume, or as he calls it a “Power Power Ranger”.
It’s always fun to watch little kids trick-or-treat. There was a few houses that had their lights on but weren’t home, or just didn’t answer the door, which he didn’t quite understand. We got a kick out of watching him continue to knock even after they told him that no one was home. That will teach them. I remember when we were growing up, you only turned your lights on if you planned on giving out candy. When exactly did that change?
Since the kids were pretty quick at trick-or-treating this year we were back home by 7:45 so we loaded up in the cars and went to the haunted house where Paul’s dad is working so that he could see JMan’s costume. Naturally the fact that we were there turned into the adults wanting to go through the haunted house. I personally am not a fan of haunted anything so I was quick to volunteer to hang out in the car and watch the kids while they went in. Out of the four girls that were there Brandi was the only one of us brave enough to go through. Paul’s Mom, his uncle’s girlfriend and I all waited in the van with the kids.
Paul and Brandi went to the haunted house last Saturday and we were supposed to go with them but I was really sick so we ended up staying home. So I was glad that we ended up going so that Dennis could go through it since I know he really wanted to go on Saturday but he wouldn’t go without me, even though I told him it was okay if he wanted to go. What a sweet husband.
