I have been meaning to write this post since Wednesday, but I just kept getting distracted by other amazing stuff to blog about. So here it is, finally. Thanksgiving in February!
Paul got this turkey from his work and it has been in their freezer since Christmas just waiting for the right time to cook it. They finally decided that they really just needed to get it out of their freezer so Tuesday night Dennis and I picked up some pumpkin pie and headed over for Thanksgiving dinner. Naturally Brandi and I tried to make this a much bigger deal then the guys wanted to. They quickly shot down idea of taking a Thanksgiving “family” picture. I’m still a little hurt to be honest. Just like any normal Thanksgiving, the guys found something to keep them busy in any room other than in the kitchen. They even refused to help when we told them it was time to cut the turkey. So, Brandi and I successfully cut our first turkey. Yes, it took two of us. I did most of the cutting while she just kinda pulled all the meat off the legs. We ended the night with pumpkin pie and games. Brandi and I are convinced that we need to make this a yearly tradition. They guys just rolled their eyes when we suggested it. I’d just like to point out that they never actually said “no”. I’m just saying.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m going to go back to enjoying my coffee, listening to Pandora and reading blogs while I put off taking my computer class test.
