It’s Friday y’all!!! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a High Five for Friday linkup with Tif. Honestly I don’t even know why. To much other stuff going on I guess. Whatever the reason I’m back at it, at least for this week, so lets get to it.
My Mama will be here today!
I am so excited to have my Mama all to myself for a full week. Well I have to share her with SS some of the time, but that’s okay. A few months ago we were on the phone and I was complaining about the fact that I have to pack my apartment. She asked if I wanted her to come for a week and help her. She works for the school district so she has the summer off. Of course I jumped on that idea because one I never get her all to myself anymore and two I know that her idea of “helping” is basically just doing it all. #notspoiledjustloved
Live at 5 Fun w/ one of my favorite DJs
There is a park across the street from my office and they do a free outdoor concert series on Thursday nights during the summer. I’ve worked here for eight years and have never gone to it. Last night I went with a co-worker and CB met us there for few minutes. It was hot so they didn’t want to stay to long, but one of my favorite radio DJs was there so we finally got to hang out without it being an event where she was busy working.
All my amazing readers!
Yesterday I posted about my ‘something’ as it’s now being called and y’all were amazing! Not that I thought you’d be anything else, but you really pulled through for me this time. I was really nervous about hitting the publish button on that one, but when I woke up yesterday morning the happy/excited emails had already started coming in from everyone. You’re really amazing and I’m so glad that I have ya!
Communication Tips That Can Save Your Marriage by High Heels & Combat Boots
I couldn’t agree with this post more if I had written them myself. One of the main issues in our marriage falling apart was the the communication broke down. I couldn’t tell you when or how but it did. It hit the point where I could tell something was wrong, but I figured he was just stressed with work so I didn’t push the issue. Turns out he was unhappy but didn’t know how to tell me. Apparently he had been unhappy for almost a year but was just waiting for it to fix itself. After a month of him being weird I finally asked him and at that point he was ready to be done and there wasn’t anything I could do to fix it. I always tell people they can take or leave my advice when it comes to relationships, but if they can learn one thing from my failed marriage learn that communication is so important! Great post!
