I just wanted to let everyone know that yours truly is talked about over on the lovely Life of Bon today. Everyone should go check it out and take some time to go look at the other amazing blogs.
Now… moving on the the horrible, traumatic, night that I had last night. I’ve always had long hair. Well except for that time when I was in 4th grade and I decided to cut it really short… what a bad decision that was! In my defense, I was a kid and I didn’t know what I was doing.
|Yup, that’s me on the right|
Moving on… Since that bad decision I’ve pretty much made a vow not to cut my hair any shorter than my shoulders ever again. Those of you that have long hair know that with it comes a few… hazards, if you will. I’ve gotten my hair rolled up in more car windows, seat belts and sun roofs than I care to count. I thought I had hit an all time low last year when I rolled it up in a retractable dog leash, but once again.. I managed to prove myself wrong!
Last night I was at the bowling alley trying to cool myself down because while it might be 40 degrees outside when you’re bowling in a place with nothing more than some ceiling fans to keep everyone cool it gets really hot, really fast. I thought I was being super smart by buying a little battery operated hand held fan. It was working really well until someone walked by and caused just enough of a breeze for my hair to get caught up in the fan.
Trust me that picture does NOT doing it justice. It was twisted and tangled so tight that even after 5 rounds of conditioner it wouldn’t come out! It loosened a little bit, but I still had to hand over the scissors to Beautiful-Bestie and trust her to cut my hair!!
Lucky for me I happened to have my hair half up yesterday so it was a piece from the bottom of my head that got caught. It will be easy to hide it and you can’t even tell that I had to cut it.
I do however feel lucky enough to be living with someone, a best friend, that I trust enough to get close to my head with scissors. Either Fearless-Friend or the husband would have probably taken them up to the scalp and cut just because they would have found it funny. That my lovely readers is why us girls have to stick together… for the times when you get gum in your hair.. or stupidly get your hair caught in a fan!
