Growing up I think almost every little kid had a favorite super hero. Little boys with blankets tied around their necks like capes. Little girls dressed in all black with headbands that have cat ears. At some point almost every kid has ran around the house with their arms in front of them pretending to fly. I’m pretty sure, if asked, they would all say that they wished they could fly.
As grown ups we all have some super power we wish we had. The ability to sooth a crying baby with a hug. The ability to make a boo-boo all better with a simple kiss. The ability to read your spouses mind so you knew what they really wanted for their birthday without having to ask.
So what superpower do I wish I had? I wish that I could take moments and save them. Put them in a special place so that I could go back and relive them anytime I wanted. Our wedding day. The days I spent with my brother before he left for his mission. The time that Little Miss E crawled over to me and wrapped her little arms around my neck for no reason other than she wanted a hug. Sitting at the table talking to J-Man while he eats his lunch.
Whatever the moment, big or small. I wish that I could take them and store them somewhere so that I could experience them all over again.
