Happy hump day all! In case you’re new here or just confused, the second Wednesday of the month I update you on our wedding planning adventures. I’ll share what we crossed off the list during the month before and set a few goals of what I’d like to get done over the current month. I’ve broken my to-do list into 2-5 things a month. That way I’m not overwhelmed by having to do it all once. Here’s a look at what we did in March.
Discuss Attire with MOG & MOG
I honestly don’t know if they’ve decided what they’re wearing. I’m assuming probably not because it’s still five months away. All I really asked is that they do jeans or a jean skirt with a brown/tan/cream top and boots. My Mama has sent me a few pictures of tops she likes, but I don’t know if she’s bought anything yet.
Research Wedding Day Hairstyles
This is so hard for me for some reason. I have a few styles that I like, but I can’t make a decision on what I really want to do. I like the back of Stephanie’s hair in the skunk episode of Fuller House, but I also like the way I had my hair at Brandi’s wedding a few years ago.
Start Shopping for Centerpieces, Tablecloths & Reception Decor
We actually bought our centerpieces a while ago from a lady in a wedding swap facebook group. You can see them here. We only have 30 of them, so if we end up having more tables than that I’ll have to make some more.
I started looking into white tablecloths and realized that to get enough for all the tables it was going to be about $500. Not to mention the hassle of getting them cleaned and returned. Buying them wasn’t really that much cheaper. We’ve decided to order a roll of white butcher paper instead. This way we can put some crayons out for the kids and they can color on them if they want and all we have to do at the end of the night is throw them in the bonfire.
We got a bunch of white twinkle lights back in December, but that’s really all we have for reception decor. I have some things that I’d like to make, but Brandi is going to help me so we will start those after we get through JMan’s birthday party next month.
Goals For April
- Arrange wedding transportation
- Make honeymoon reservations
