Happy Monday!!! I hope all the Mama’s out there had an amazing Mother’s Day. I didn’t get to spend it with mine, but I did talk to her on the phone. We also got to talk to my baby brother who is just two months shy of coming home from his mission in Africa. There are days where it feels like he just left yesterday and others where it feels like he’s been gone forever.
This was a busy weekend for me! Saturday we all got together to celebrate my favorite little man! He had an amazing, and windy, Ninja Turtle party. Some of us decided we were super dedicated and even wore ninja turtle shirts. I wasn’t smart enough to get a picture of all of us, but it was still fun.
He received lots of proof that he’s loved, as he always does. I honestly don’t know how they fit everything in their house. Considering they now have LiLee who will, no doubt, be just as loved every year at her birthdays and Christmas… they might want to consider moving into a bigger house.
After J-Man’s birthday party we all went home to relax, shower and get ready to go out and celebrate DD’s 30th birthday! We went to a local bar and hung out, drank to much and played shuffle board. It was the first time we’ve all gone out with BB’s bachelorette party last June so it was much needed.
These are just the girls that were there. We had a nice big group to help this lady kick her 30s off right!
What was your weekend like? Oh!! Before I let you go I’d like to introduce you to the women behind my beautiful blog design!!!!
What kind of blogging goodness will we find on your blog?
You’ll definitely find a little bit about everything on my blog. I write about my love for football and what it’s like working for an NFL team; you’ll find recipes I’ve tried- both success and failures; travel adventures my husband and I go on; and I’ve documented our journey to debt-freedom the past couple of years as well!
What is a random fact about you that most people wouldn’t know?
Most people wouldn’t know I was Senior Class President in high school. That means I’m currently working on coordinating a 10-year reunion for this summer- lord help us! 😉
What’s next on your to-read list?
Don’t Go by Lisa Scottoline. I’ve read a couple other books of hers and happened upon this one in a bargain bin last week. I can’t wait to get started on it!
Who would you love to see in concert, or what was your favorite concert you’ve already been to?
No judging here…. but I would LOVE to see Celine Dion. I’ve loved her music since I was a kid and I really hope I can get to Vegas and see her before she retires for good!
If you could pick a theme song for your life, what would it be?
Don’t Stop Believin- Journey
